Iraq III: Rummy vs. Reality

Defense Secretary made another stopover in Iraq on Wednesday, where he told U.S. troops that:
Each time I come to Iraq, I see progress. You're making progress. . . . You're making history.
I can only assume that Rummy was referring to the fact that earlier in the day "only" 20 people were found dead near Baghdad and another seven killed in the capital itself, which was a substantial improvement over the 70 or so who died in violence on Monday and Tuesday.

Ah, progress.

WAKE ME WHEN IT'S OVER
Pat Robertson, the foot dragging Republican chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, says the panel will finally get around to trying to wrap up its three-year, do-nothing investigation into the administration's (selective) use of intelligence in the run-up to the war.

After the November election.
